If you are interested in exploring intergenerational mission as a church, we would love to help you!

 

We can offer a range of training options, from a simple one-day all-age outreach experience to a whole weekend, with more opportunities for input and debriefing.

 

All training would be hosted in your church, for your church members, reaching out in your locality.

 

In all cases our desire would be to serve your church and help you explore doing mission with the generations together, whatever that might look like in your context. We do not have a “cookie cutter” approach – listening and discussion with church leaders is an important part of preparation for us! As is always our practice, outreach opportunities will be planned in partnership with you, the believers on the ground in your locality.

 

What might training look like?

Here is a “pix & mix” selection of some of the input & opportunities your church could arrange to be included in a WildFire training experience. Many of the following would be hands-on, putting the theory into practice and designed for all ages to learn by doing, together.

 

Teaching

• Practical preparation (making gifts, prayer walking, learning skills)

Outreach examples

• Streets & parks: acts of kindness, treasure hunting, red carpet, circus, clowning & “tricks for truth”.

• Family fun events: face painting, circus, parachute, ceilidh dancing, giant bubbles, balloon modeling.

• Practical: litter picking, painting and decorating, clearing and weeding gardens.

• Social: hosting coffee mornings, reaching out in hospitals/ care homes.

 

Debrief

• What did we see God doing? Sharing testimonies

• Encouraging and blessing one another

• Lord, how did we bring joy to your heart?

• Praise and thanksgiving
